The redacted Mueller report has now been out in the public square for over 48hrs and some Trump supporters may finally be realizing that the grotesque orangutan is unfit for office. The latest Ipsos poll released today and taken between he 18th-19th of April shows Trump's approval rating slipping down to 37% approval, 56% disapproval. This is the first poll I've found taken after the release of the Mueller Report and it may indicate that more and more people are finally beginning to turn against the conman (about flippin' time).
Will Trump's base entirely disappear? No. Keep in mind Nixon still had over 20% support when he was impeached so some people just can't be reached. But, it may be an indicator that he's beginning to slump down to that hardcore 20% floor. It also may indicate that the more facts come out, and the more he's exposed as a traitor and criminal, the more people will flea.
That leads to two key takeaways. First, the Democrats in the House must keep releasing and propagating all of the damning information from the Mueller report and hold hearings on the same. The drumbeat of truth must continue and it will have an affect on the public's perception of this nazi. Second, don't dismiss impeachment as a possible outcome. If his approval rating falls to or around that 20% not only with GOP senators bail in order to save themselves, and possibly vote to convict and remove Trump, but there will be no political backlash at the voting booth for doing so. In fact, Democrats may suffer losses if they DON'T impeach the President at that point.
